If you're part of a Jewish youth movement or communal organisation you're probably already involved in a form of Social Action - volunteerism is the great renewable energy source that allows us to keep going year after year. But perhaps you want to make Tikkun Olam a bigger part of what you do. Whether you're simply writing a one-off peula on the subject or would like to plan a long-term volunteering project, there are loads of causes, charities and resources around. That's where this handbook comes in. It's designed to be a taster of the interesting stuff that's already out the, with a few ideas from a range of youth movements for projects and events.

On1Foot is a resource for Jewish social justice educators. It is a searchable online database of 800 (and growing) Jewish texts of all kinds related to issues of social justice. Beyond just finding texts, you can also use On1Foot to build source sheets, discuss texts, and share best practices with other users. On1Foot is a project of the American Jewish World Service.
Here is the handbook! It covers ideas for social action and introductions to a range of topics, including human rights, the environment and International Development.
