This package contains ready to run sessions on the topic of Tu B’shvat and Environmentalism. The first file contains a resource that can be picked up and used for a 10-20 minute assembly. Throughout the text, there are also suggestions for activities to run if your session is a longer assembly or a lunchtime nosh and learn – between 30 minutes to an hour long. The aim of this is so that J-Soc chairs or any speaker is able to pick up the resource and run with it themselves, using what they want and adapting the material based on how long the session is for.
This file contains both a ready to read assembly (R2RA) and a ready to run nosh and learn session on Is Judaism Green? It can be used around Tu B’shvat or if students wish to discuss environmentalism and Judaism. The session explores Judaism’s connection to nature through traditional text and modern Jewish and Israeli literature. It has been written as a Ready to Read Assembly with suggestions throughout for longer sessions – anything from 10 minutes to an hour long.
