This guide is designed to help you choose which university to go to, familarise yourself with the exciting times awaiting you when you get there, and outline the different Jewish atmospheres available for you to choose the path you want your Jewish journey to take over the next few years. The information in this guide includes: • A detailed and informative list of every J-soc in the country. If you want to find out about the local community, availability of Kosher food and the accommodation on offer, this is where to start looking. • Help with your personal finances, as well as the tuition fee and loan system explained. • An explanation of the UJS (The Union of Jewish Students) system. • A guide to the Jewish spaces on campus, which include Kosher accommodation and student centres around the country. • A comprehensive A-Z guide of being a university student, from Freshers’ Week to Finals. • An explanation of the Chaplaincy system at university, as well as information on where they are and how you can contact them. • Information about what you can do on a Gap Year, such as: working on a Kibbutz, being involved in a youth movement, Yeshiva or Seminary, doing voluntary work in Israel and much more!
